Color Still Life

This is the first project I did in class with color. We got to choose objects to set up on the table for a still life drawing. I used graphite to draw the objects, then Crayola colored pencils for color. I used texture and value on every object. I used line in the horn to make it look more life-like. Also, I used emphasis and balance in this piece. Honestly, this piece to me would be a 7, because of the plain backround and there could be more improvement in some places as in the flower and boot.

Cast Shadow Project

This is the first cast shadow still life project we did for class. It was all done in graphite and ebony pencil. We chose some objects of ours to draw from still life and set it up. I used many lines on the book and smooth value in everything. I used a dark ebony pencil to show the shadows. I would rate this piece a 6 because of the lines you can see on the book cover, and some lines are not as straight as I would like them to be.

Hi I’m Nikki! The kind of artwork I most admire are tattoos and music. I play a lot of guitar and I love to draw designs for tattoos and musicians. Tattoos are amazing and I think they are really beautiful. Flowers, Koi fish, stars, guitars, animals and psychedelic objects are fun for me to draw. Also I like to draw pin-up girls, and the figures of women. I hope to achive in this class how to draw better and become a better artist.
